Bob Spirko

Last month we lost Bob Spirko, a great friend and supporter of Rose Center. Bob was involved in virtually every program Rose Center has had. An artist himself, he taught classes, created art and history exhibits, preserved our archives, served on the Mountain Makins crafts jury, and the Rose Service Guild. He was active in the Morristown Art Association, the Artists Advisory Council, and the From Africa to Appalachia Foundation. Bob was a selfless and cheerful volunteer, whose lifetime of service has made a lasting impact on our community. Rose Center will never be quite the same.

A celebration of Bob’s life was held at Rose Center on May 19. The memorabilia and artwork on display that evening may be viewed through June.
